Will your anchor hold?

billowy clouds

“Will your anchor hold in the storms of life, when the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the storm tides lift and the cables strain, will your anchor drift or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll; fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.” — Priscilla Jane Owens, Will Your Anchor Hold?

Happy 3rd Birthday, Elijah James Lasher

Psalm of Praise to God from Nana (taken from Psalm 139:13–16)…For you created Elijah’s inmost being; you knit Elijah together in his mother’s womb. I praise you because Elijah is fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.

Elijah’s frame was not hidden from you when he was made in the secret place. When Elijah was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw Elijah’s unformed body.

All the days ordained for Elijah were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Elijah, you truly are a precious, beautiful miracle from God—fearfully and wonderfully made in his image. May you choose to accept God as your Savior at a young age and strive to follow after him all the days of your life.

We love you,

Nana and Grandpa, xxooxx

Shout to the Lord!

“My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like you.  All of my days I want to praise the wonders of your mighty love. My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength, let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship you.

Shout to the Lord all the earth let us sing power and majesty, praise to the King, mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of your name. I sing for joy at the work of your hand. Forever I’ll love you, forever I’ll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in you.” – Darlene Zschech
