Teresa K. Lasher is an author, speaker, quirky mom, and Nana. Like the characters from this book, she experienced loneliness and bullying due to frequent moves during her school years. Teresa homeschooled her children for a time, like Frog is homeschooled on the boat trip.

She married her high school sweetheart, Steve, and then was blessed with two children and four grandchildren. Steve and Teresa's 6,000-mile, year-long boating adventure called The Great Loop is the inspiration for this story.

When they're not out exploring God's creation, Teresa and her husband live in Michigan with their adorable Cavalier King Charles dog named Skipper. You might see Teresa in the back-to-school supplies during the changing-of-the-leaves season, her favorite time of year.
