After leaving a funeral for a co-worker’s wife in St. John’s, Michigan, my hubby decided to treat us to Clara’s in downtown Lansing. We had a great dining experience in a converted depot station.
We took our time coming home and when we drove into our driveway, I wasn’t prepared for the sight awaiting me inside our garage. Our son, Andrew, wife Bethany, and two grandchildren, Liberty and Elijah were standing there yelling “SURPRISE”!!!
I received the most wonderful Mother’s Day gift of all! And Steve was in on the whole gig! Now, Mother’s Day is complete. Instead of driving home from Bethany’s grandmother’s funeral in Springfield Illinois, they decided to come here instead and wish me a Happy Mother’s Day in person! This is a most joyous Mother’s Day.
